All in all - a successful excursion, which was well planned in terms of time. We were picked up at the neighboring hotel a little late in the morning from 8:40 a.m. (but everything was still okay). A very nice and informative guide (who spoke perfect German) then took us through the palace of Knossos and then showed and explained the most important sights of Heraklion. It was very interesting overall. Afterwards we had 3 hours of free time in Heraklion and had lunch and looked at the city in peace. We especially liked the Venetian harbor. Only the bus driver seemed a bit disorganized at times and could have been a bit friendlier in my opinion. But he brought us well from A to B and otherwise everything was fine. The bus ride should not have lasted longer for my personal taste. I highly recommend this tour and the value for money is more than reasonable.

Transport was the only reason to rate 4/5 - because we were staying in a hotel the furthest away it meant quite a long travel time which is not the fault of the company but do thing it could be arranged more efficiently to avoid this, we stayed in Elounda and it was more of an 11 hour day rather than the advertised 9 hour. Tour guide was excellent, very informative.

The day was actually very nice. Unfortunately the bus was quite late. We were called and told the bus would be 10 minutes later. He then came after half an hour. The tour to the palace and Heraklion was great. The guide could speak English and German, but often spoke very quickly, so that you could not understand him properly from time to time. Otherwise everything was very informative and we had a lot of fun. What you might need to know is that the tickets for Knossos cost an extra 15€ for people over 25 years old or 20€ extra for the combined ticket. I would recommend that to most people because the second ticket alone would cost €12. All persons who come from EU and are under 25 years old can enter the palace and later the museum in Heraklion for free. After the palace we also went to Heraklion and did a little city walk. After that we had 3 hours free time. Overall it was a nice day.
