My name is Sophie. Just a little thank you not to everyone who put this trip together. The highlight of the day was Chris, our guide. He made us feel comfortable and he has a great sense of humour.. he was well versed with the history of the places and explained it extremely well. He was patient and made a great conversationalist. The day was very well curated and it was fantastic experience. The group of travellers were such a fun group. Singing happy birthday to one of the travellers was very sweet of everyone. The weather was lovely too. I couldn’t have asked for more. It’s a memory I’ve made for life, enjoyed very bit of it and I thank you for putting this together. Suggestion - It would be nice to be provided with a couple of water bottles on the trip.

Gramvousa and Balos Beach are very beautiful. You won't regret going. if you are going from heraklion is a long trip via bus, so consider you will return after 9 pm and almost all restaurant are closed at that time. Both beaches have difficult access, so I will not recommend for old or disabled people or anyone with mobility problems.

lovely day out exploring different parts of the island. spend around 6hours on the bus and 7.5hours on the boat and on the islands. nice hike up to the Venetian Castle at Gramvousa and a relaxing couple of hours at Balos. boat can be chilly, best to pack a jacket
