This was one of the best tours we have ever been on. Viola was extremely knowledgeable, very fun, and ultra charming. The sites of the mountains and plateau were breathtaking, as was the cave of Zeus’ birth. Lunch was also extraordinary. Viola selected a family run restaurant was amazing tapas in an endearing garden. Truly a phenomenal day!

Outstanding guide and trip!

My mother and I took this tour with Viola in mid-October 2017. It was different than many other tours we've taken because we gained a much more personal view of the local life in the region around Heraklion. We ate at small traditional family-run restaurants, whose owners grew their own produce and ingredients, and we visited smaller villages that the larger bus tours tend to bypass. This gave us a real sense of what Cretan rural life is like. We particularly enjoyed visiting the Cave of Zeus (donkey-ride and all!). Viola's English was easy to understand, yet her knowledge of other languages allowed us to interact with people from several other countries that we ran into throughout the day. Her knowledge of the area as well as the Greek mythology made for a fun and very informative visit. She even adjusted the schedule to make sure we made our evening flight back to Athens, dropping us off at the airport herself. All in all, highly recommended!

We had a really great tour! Our guide Viola was super nice and uncomplicated and has surprised us with lots of information about the island. Especially interesting were the stories about Greek mythology - also for my nine year old son. We were lucky - we were only two and had our guide so only for us. So we could learn a lot about the island and the life on it. I can only recommend it!
