Costa Rica National Monument

Get to know the culture and character of San José on an immersive bus tour of the city’s highlights. Taking you from your hotel and past the National Theater, Democracy Plaza and Central Market, you’ll witness an on-board folk music performance and learn about Costa Rica’s history and evolution. Starting at your hotel, the tour will take you into downtown San José, which you’ll be able to admire from the top deck as you ride. As an introduction to the city’s key sights, you’ll take a guided walk past the cherished National Theater, Central Market and Pre-Columbian Gold Museum. Your final stop will be at Plaza de la Democracia, built in 1989 to commemorate a century of Costa Rican democracy, before the tour takes you back through San José’s bustling streets to your hotel.
