The Museo Picasso Málaga was created in response to the artist's desire for his work to be exhibited in the city of his birth in 1881. Its realization is thanks to the combined efforts of the artist´s daughter-in-law and grandson, whose donations provide the body of the art collection, and Junta de Andalucía, who arranged an ambitious project devoted to the artist. Located in the Palacio de Buenavista, declared a National Monument in 1939, the Museo Picasso Málaga opened in the heart of Málaga in 2003. The building boasts a harmonic mix of Renaissance and Mudéjar elements and serene contemporary lines. Phoenician, Roman, and Arabic ruins can be found on the underground floor. Begin your day with a pickup from one of the spots in Fuengirola, Benalmadena or Torremolinos and travel 45 minutes from Málaga pick up to Ardales. You will make a short stop of 30 minutes in Ardales, a white village, so you can purchase breakfast in a this local area before to start the activity. Return to the bus and continue until you reach the northern access point of the Caminito del Rey. Walk through a small long tunnel to reach the natural paths that lead to the entrance checkpoint of the gorges. Then, receive a helmet and listen to the safety instructions. Learn what to expect during the trek and the guide will accompany you at the end of the group to answer your questions along the way while you enjoy the experience. Pass by the Gorge of the Gaitanes, a natural pass across the hills that separates the Malaga coastline from the islands with the River Guadalhorce flowing at the bottom. El Caminito del Rey, after many years of total abandonment, is now a rebuilt path that stretches between 2 gorges and a large valley. After finishing the downhill trail from north to south, reach the exit point where your bus awaits. Your tour will begin as you meet your bus in the center of Málaga, near el Corte Inglés, or elsewhere along the Costa del Sol. From there you will take a coach to Gibraltar, traveling in air-conditioned comfort complete with reclining seats. Throughout the journey, your guide will provide you with information about interesting things to do and see once having arrived at Gibraltar. It's mandatory a valid and original ID / Passport to cross the border. Photocopies or carrying it on a mobile device will not be accepted. Once having passed through customs, your coach will drive inside Gibraltar before stopping in the city center to park for free time. If you booked the full nature reserve rock tour option, enjoy a panoramic tour of Gibraltar, visiting places such as the Strait of Gibraltar, and access to the interior of the St. Michel Caves. You will also be able to see Barbary macaques at the Apes Den. After the panoramic tour, enjoy free time for lunch and explore the area for its shopping and hotspots like Main Street, Casemates Square, Marina Bay, or the Mediterranean Steps. Your bus will return in the afternoon, leaving Gibraltar around 3:30 PM.
