The tour was good in that we did not need to wait in queues and got in relatively quickly. We had Maria who was a really good guide and had a lot of knowledge. The issue was not with Maria as she was great, it was with the audio devices as it kept cutting off all the time and I would miss things Maria was saying. This seems to be a common issue that if you get to far back from the guide it cuts of but this is difficult to stay at the front all the time with a group of around 25 people. I would also recommend that if you are a bit claustrophobic to avoid the Sistine Chapel, I had to leave early and find my group later as I thought I was going to faint due to the amount of people crammed in to the room. By the end of the tour, I stopped wearing my audio device because it kept cutting of and was frustrating which meant I missed out on a lot Maria was saying. Overall, Maria was great but listening devices need improved.
Really interesting attractions to visit but allocated time not enough to appreciate fully. Guide very knowledgeable and friendly. However stood around for over 30 minutes in Sistine Chapel due to overrun of Pope address, would have been helpful if advised that this can happen on Wednesdays before booking. Ended up having to exit and go through museum tour queues again to get to visit St Peters Basilica. In hindsight, should have done Skip the Line with audio guide and done the tour at a more leisurely pace.
We had a fabulous day looking around the Vatican and St. Peter’s thanks to our fabulous guide Sandra. She was so knowledgeable and told us looks of fascinating things that we simply wouldn’t have known without guide. We were especially lucky on the day we went as there was only 4 people in our group so we were able to ask lots of questions that Sandra always had the answers to. I would highly recommend this firm and would definitely use them again.
Unfortunately the noise and crowd in Vatican Museum especially Sistine Chapell is more than annoying. Stuff screaming all over the place- go, do not stop. If so... how am I supposed to see anything. Waste of time. Seen something but did not feel anything amazing about and in that place.
Our guide was Pasquale. His English was excellent and knew his stuff. Pasquale spoke clearly and we had earbuds with a special little 'collar' that kept them in place. A delightful and informative experience.
