We really enjoyed our stargazing trip .The night we had booked unfortunately it was cloudy. Our guide Alfredo gave us the option to cancel with full refund or go a couple of nights later when the forecast was less cloudy. We went later. we were not disappointed.Alfredo picked us up .there were 7 in our group .we met up with another small group The sun was setting on our way up so that was an added bonus ..The short treck up to the volcano crater was on an uneven path .so if you go wear trainers or good foot wear and something warm as instructed it dos get cold up there . when you come back down its pitch dark .we were given head torches for the walk back down . Alfredos knowledge of the stars was excellent .He answered all our questions .We saw the moon through his telescope .unfortunately we couldn't see Mars closely or other planets due to the time of year .(they are too far away). We saw all the major constellations..we would highly recommend this trip .

Pick up was easy going. the way up to Hondo is also not so difficult. The Headlights from Alfredo is a must for the return downwards. The little squirrels were asleep. Going around the crater is closed for over a year due to a misbehave of people. Wouldn't be good in the dark tho. We had an almost clear evening. For a look of the galaxy is a wintermonth preferred. Alfredo showed us star signs above us. It's the only volcano to visit easily with a path without hiking. And Hondos crater is very deep. And if you scream, someone is screaming back from the inside ;)

The tour was excellent! We had a cloudy night in the end at the Volcano but the tour guides decided to go to the Dunes. The volcano experience was jaw dropping and the night-sky at the Dunes was beautiful and Alfredo was so well prepared for teaching about stars and constellations. It was a mesmerizing experience. Highly recommended! Alfredo has a deep knowledge of Astronomy and he will teach you thoroughly about all the starts being visible. Transport was top notch! Super punctual and just for ending this review, this tour was better than expected!

Alfredo, was great! His knowledge on the history of the island and mapping of the stars was both very cool and educational. There was almost no light pollution so the sky was beautiful with far more to be seen. This id a great experience that I’d recommend to others.
