    1. Doc Martin Tour

If you’re a fan of the TV show Doc Martin, this fully guided walking tour will take you around the fictional Cornish seaside village of Portwenn. In reality, it is filmed on location in Port Isaac, a small and picturesque fishing village on the Atlantic coast of north Cornwall. Now in its seventh series and popular with fans around the world, this Doc Martin tour is the best way to see the main locations from the show which first aired in 2004. The walking tour is led by a local who has been involved in the filming of Doc Martin itself as an extra and shares many anecdotes about the filming of this show.  Locations from the show that you will see include the Doc’s house and surgery, Louisa’s school, Mrs Tishell’s pharmacy and much more. However, the village itself has a long and fascinating history dating back to King Henry VIII and your guide will show you hidden village paths, histor...

This was an excellent mix of Doc Martin stories and local history. Our guide is part of the “extras” cast on the show so we got super insider information! It lasts an hour and a half, has some steep steps but the pace was slow so even a 85 year old man on our tour managed ok.

Day 1: Drive from Glastonbury to Dartmoor to visit 2 parts of the wild Dart River in the remains of the ancient Dartmoor Forest. At Dartmeet there is a very old bridge made of large slabs of local stone that look megalithic. Stop off at an old hunting lodge for lunch. Next, visit the small church of Brentor, situated on a rocky hill dedicated to St. Michael, and connected to the Michael ley line. Day 2:

This was the best decision I have ever made to book with Tor"s tours.. I was lucky enough to get Tor himself as my guide.. He took me to the most beautiful places I have ever seen or felt.. they have changed me and will forever be apart of my heart. I would have never found these place on my own. He knows every crack and crevice of the land and the best places to eat. Tintagel and Merlin's cave are the places where you can feel and see why these lands inspired the legends and myths. St. Nectans Glen was truly the most beautiful place I have ever seen in my life, it WILL touch your soul. It's the place all the fairies have gone to hide safely and dance free thru the forest. The waterfall is a sight to behold as it gentlt cleanses your spirit. Dartmoor's forest was full of amazing energy like I have never felt. Mystical and beautiful.. Then when you step inside the St. Michael de Rupert church not only is the view amazing but the energy from the ley lines can be felt by all. GO!!!!

Sarah, our guide, picked up the three of us from our hotel as arranged. What a delightful young woman. She was full of interesting information and took us on a brilliant tour, not only showing us all the major filming locations we would never have found ourselves, but lots of other relevant sights as well. The tour was expensive, but we felt it was very well worth it; a really wonderful and jam-packed day. I thoroughly recommend this tour, but most especially Sarah, our guide.
