Visit the patios and gardens of Viana Palace, an official national monument and the ‘museum of courtyards’ in Spain’s famous city of courtyards — Córdoba. Discover the exterior of this palatial noble home comprising 12 courtyards, multiple architectural styles, and 5 centuries of history. 

Learn of the different historical periods and owners the palace has lived through, and how they formed its appearance today. Explore the surroundings of the complex and see different themes in each courtyard, such as Roman, medieval, Renaissance, and Moorish. 

Enjoy orange trees, fountains, arches, and local flora, too. Walk round the beautiful gardens, that take up nearly half the space of the property, that will make you disbelieve that you are in the middle of a city.

I found the location easily, but the signage for where to go wasn't very helpful. I joined the end of the line assuming I had to go through the same door as everyone else, but found later that I could have justb walked through as I had pre-purchased the experience. There was a staff member who was kind enough to check my GYG ticket and got me through the line more quickly; however, then she told me 'pattern one' and I had no idea what that was, so I just walked around in the order that most others were taking. The patios and rooms themselves were lovely and had many fragrant flowers, and were set out beautifully. I would have loved to known the name of a couple of blossoms I didn't recognise, but there were no labels for the plants.
