We had an incredible 3.5-hour guided tour today with Rafa, exploring the Jewish Quarter, the Alcázar, the Caliphate Baths, and the breathtaking Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba. Every single site was spectacular and gave us goosebumps — not only because of their beauty and history, but especially thanks to Rafa. Discover the UNESCO World Heritage monuments of Córdoba on a guided tour of the historic city center, starting with the medieval Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos complex, known for its beautiful gardens and as one of the primary residences of Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon.

Learn more about the Roman, Visigoth, Muslim and Catholic monarchs and hear details about the Spanish Inquisition. Then, walk through the Jewish Quarter to see the monument to the Sephardic philosopher, Maimonides. Admire the white limestone buildings of Cardenal Salazar Square. Go to the Artisans' Souk on the way to the legendary Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba.

Listen to explanations about the history of the sacred site, built on the orders of the Muslim ruler, Abd al-Rahman I in 1786.

Isabel was our guide throughout the 3 hr tour. She was very knowledgeable and her English excellent. She did very well to cope with so many other visitors and keep us interested.
