Discover the UNESCO World Heritage monuments of Córdoba on a guided tour of the historic city center, starting with the medieval Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos complex, known for its beautiful gardens and as one of the primary residences of Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon. Learn more about the Roman, Visigoth, Muslim and Catholic monarchs and hear details about the Spanish Inquisition. Then, walk through the Jewish Quarter to see the monument to the Sephardic philosopher, Maimonides. Admire the Córdoba Synagogue and the white limestone buildings of Cardenal Salazar Square. Go to the Artisans' Souk on the way to the legendary Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba. Listen to explanations about the history of the sacred site, built on the orders of the Muslim ruler, Abd al-Rahman I in 1786.

Our guide Ana was extremely passionate about the history of Córdoba. Her knowledge about the Alcázar was extremely enlightening. The pace of the tour was perfect. We were able to see quite a lot in three hours. It made for a perfect day. After the three hour tour it still left plenty of time to explore on your own and enjoy the local restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend
