We enjoyed our tour with Maria. She was quite knowledgeable and gave us great tips! I'm particularly interested in historical tidbits, and we visited locations that have been around for hundreds of years. Everything about the tour was perfect, including our walk through the botanical gardens. The snow added to its beauty. Prior to the tour, I had shared that I was not particularly keen on one of the items. I figured I would just skip that item and leave it at that. Maria decided to replace it with another item, and her choice was superb! We got to sample barley risotto with organic mushrooms. It was hearty and hot and absolutely delicious. It was the perfect dish for the cold, snowy day. Just perfect! I wouldn't have otherwise tried that had it not been introduced, so I'm glad she made the decision to switch the items. The other two couples on the tour also seemed to like it. Thank you, Maria for making this a memorable experience.
I experienced Danish cuisine to the fullest and was delighted by the variety and quality of all the offerings from luscious liquorice to sensational smørrebrød. The wonderful guide was brimming with enthusiasm and knowledge about the stories behind the food. I learned so much and it was truly an unforgettable experience! 11/10 stars
The tour was such a good idea. We met our excellent guide and then headed off to a part of Copenhagen we would have easily missed. The meatpacking district was a revelation with interesting history, great restaurants, cafes and small businesses. This was a morning well spent.
If you want a quick understanding of the special elements of Nordic food, this would be appropriate. Tithe raise, it would take quite some time for you to find out and have a taste of what we have tasted.
It was a good tour with a good guide, with lots of interesting info about the food. The food itself was really tasty. This tour was a great way to learn about local Danish food.
