We're not thrill seekers so no rides for us. But we loved seeing the inventive themes and how beautifully constructed everything was to fit into the space. The gardens are lovely and so well kept. It was very busy as we arrived at 11 am but once everyone had moved around the park there were lots of quiet spaces.

While in Copenhagen, Tivoli is a must. The gardens are beautifully kept. In addition to the amusement park, there are many places where you can eat and drink something, but you can also just sit among the carefully maintained greenery. Our ticket option did not include any rides - you would have to queue to buy tickets. Unfortunately, we also did not manage to take advantage of the free drinks - the staff at the facilities mentioned by GYG did not know about such a service :(

If you have plenty of money and enjoy fairground rides, restaurants, cafes and many busy times, then this is the place to go. Everyone has to pay admission fees. Every ride has to be paid for. Food is not cheap, but you are a captive audience so either pay the charge or take your own food. We went on a Monday early August. It was busy, but we had bought a fast pass on line so entered very quickly and avoided the entry queues. The bigger rides were very popular, with plenty of queuing customers. There are easier rides for younger children. If you want to exit and return the same day you need to have your arm stamped at the Food Hall. If like us, the rides were not an option (old age) there are some well manicured gardens and a lake, where there is a light show at 9.30pm most days. Only short but impressive. Decide what you want. Rides, gardens, or food and drink before buying the admission ticket. All the team members we encountered were open, helpful and pleasant. Give it a go.
