I'm a senior, solo traveller and paid just over £17 for a day ticket. This allows you to wander, get a pass-out, leave and return later - recommended as Tivoli is different after dark. The gardens are beautiful (Summer in Bloom '23) I'm no gardener but it's lovely to view, a great photo opportunity and you can easily spend a couple of hours wandering. At times, if it wasn't for distant shrieks from some of the rides, you wouldn't know these are in the same area. The food/drink areas are NOT the burger places you might expect but nice dining areas in lovely settings. You should eat there given the opportunity. There are many older people, particularly locals, so take the hint and do as they do. I wouldn't go on many of the rides now, but I was tempted to do the 1914 wooden rollercoaster and I returned in the evening, bought a single ticket (about £5) and rode the train. So glad I did! Tivoli is world-famous and I think it would be a shame to be in Copenhagen and not visit.

The gardens were really pretty with a great funfair but also nice areas to wander round and little cafes and restaurants. We went to the Tivoli food hall which had great food options and was reasonably priced . There were large stages for shows and an aquarium . Overall it had a quaint nice feel and I would definitely recommend. The funfair had great rides and a ticket including them is the better value .

When we arrived at 11am the queue was huge (around 400meters). We had our jump the queue ticket but the man on the gate sent us to the back of the line. We decided we would not waste our time and considered leaving. I then asked a very helpful young lady on the gate in a peaked hat and she explained we could gain entry with our ticket through the food court shop to the right. This sounded to good to be true but we tried and because we had pre paid tickets we got in this side gate with only around 10 people to queue behind. We waited only 2 mins!! If not for this we would have walked away.
