Know before you go

  • The Red Line operates in April - September between 9 AM – 630 PM (frequency of departures: every 10-45 minutes), in October - March between 9 AM - 530 PM (frequency of departures: every 30-60 minutes)
  • The last departure from Central Station/Tivoli Gardens is at 5 PM in summer and at 4 PM in winter
  • The boat tour departs from Nyhavn near bus stop number 8
  • Children between 0-2 years travel for free on buses when accompanied by a paying adult (maximum of 2 children per adult)

Good. Personally we didn't think both options were necessary. We did the boat trip 1st and covered everything and more. The bus afterwards seemed a little underwhelming and then of course repeating alot of what we saw and heard. I recommend the boat out of the 2 if you have the choice.

Very good, something went wrong on both sides when booking, but despite everything the guides helped me, reimbursed the costs and explained to us the route using public transport since the bus had already left. They also gave us €6 taxi money. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ unreservedly recommended.

Everything worked out wonderfully. We were picked up from the ship and brought back. The stops are very well distributed. It was very easy to orient yourself and find it easily. The only time the guide didn't go was on a bus. The driver compensated for that.
