Venice: Venetian Lagoon Tour and Galleon Dinner

1. Venice: Venetian Lagoon Tour and Galleon Dinner

Discover the serenity of the enchanting city of Venice with a dinner cruise aboard a Venetian Galleon. Watch the city's lights reflecting on the water as you savor a gourmet meal while sipping on wine and Aperitivo. Pick from Central Deck seating and stern/prow seating. Meet your host in front of the Museo Navale in Venice and, once on board, the crew will lead you to your reserved table and offer you a delicious glass of Prosecco DOC. Sit by candlelight at an elegant table, and eat with a fine and well-finished service. Book the Central Deck for panoramic windows with exceptional views, or choose the prow/stern areas with tables for 4 that offer a more intimate atmosphere. On the prow, there are two small portholes at the top and there is no view of the outside. Select to sit at the stern which is connected to the kitchen/bar and has small windows for a partial view of the outside. Couples might be seated at one shared table (however, the tables are big enough to guarantee each couple privacy). Be swept away by the old-fashioned charm of a boat as you immerse yourself in in the magic of the Venetian Lagoon. At dusk, the Galleon will slowly leave shore and head into the northern lagoon. Take in views of the minor islands such as Sant’Erasmo, and San Francesco del Deserto. Taste a variety of delightful specialties prepared by the onboard chef while you sail towards the Venetian Arsenal and then past the islands of Vignole, Mazzorbo and the artistic Murano. Circumnavigate Burano which is famous for its picturesque, colorful houses and the Leaning Bell Tower. Sail back to the San Marco basin and past the island of San Giorgio. Head on to Venice and the cruise for a spectacular view of the San Marco basin. Disembark at the Museo Navale.

Venice: Bike Tour Honey & artichockes on Sant’Erasmo Island

2. Venice: Bike Tour Honey & artichockes on Sant’Erasmo Island

Bike through Sant’Erasmo Island on this tour from Venice. Experience the tranquil lagoon and idyllic fields. Appreciate the relaxed and traditional lifestyle of the island's 700 inhabitants. Let your guide help you purchase water bus tickets to Sant'Erasmo island. Travel through the city's deep blue lagoon on the way to the island. Learn about how the island was a rural retreat for aristocrats and the main source of vegetable and fruit supplies for the Republic of Venice. Disembark the boat and walk down a small road that passes canals and ditches. Stop to pickup your bike rental. Start from a 19th century fort which is sometimes used for art exhibitions and surrounded by a moat. Ride along the lagoon, saltmarshes, and by a variety of crops like purple-hued artichokes. Take in views of wild landscapes while spotting the belfries of Venice from afar. Admire views of the San Nicolò harbour mouth at Lido island. Head to a local family-owned honey farmer that produces saltmarsh honey. Try the unique flavors of honey made from flowers that grow in the salty soil. Reach the northern part of the island where you can just make out the colored houses of Burano. View the San Francesco del Deserto monastery which is inhabited by Franciscan monks. Enter a church facing the lagoon to take in the local architecture. Have the option of taking a water bus back to Venice or staying on the island for dinner.

This dinner cruise is simply sublime. The staff is attentive without being oppressive, the background music is superb, the candlelit dinner takes place in a cozy place, the tables are not shared as noted in the description they are all in pairs where a bottle of prosecco awaits you and served you as soon as you arrived. The meal is delicious and very hearty (6 dishes + desserts). You can get up to admire the view on the boat deck and even ask the captain if you can sail, which he kindly agreed for my husband. Flawless: staff, meals and an indelible memory.

This experience was absolutely wonderful! Our food restrictions were taken into account, and we were given full bottles of wine and prosecco for no additional cost. The food was delicious and it was so cool to sail by so many different islands at night. Eating on this classy candlelit boat was such a romantic experience (especially since they had lovely music playing softly as we ate). Highly recommend if you are looking for something special to do with a loved one!

We had an exceptionally pleasant dinning experience, the crew members were fantastically polite and professional, the food was amazing. The music, ambience and atmosphere were all well balanced. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who’s looking for a romantic night with her/his significant half and spend a night in this city of love

What a fabulous evening. Food was absolutely gorgeous from start to finish. Staff very friendly and super efficient. For the quality of food and the ambience it was worth every cent! Highly recommended
