Outstanding guided tour of Saint Chapelle and La Conciergerie. Violet our guide was fabulous, extremely knowledgeable. The Saint Chapelle is a very special Chapelle, just magical!! The 1,000 glass coloured panels are beautiful. The La Concergerie was great to see so much history. As I am very interested in Marie Antoinette it was great to see where she spent her last days of her life. I felt privileged to see this. Violet found a great spot to view Notre-Dame and tell us it’s history. A most enjoyable tour with a great guide. I would highly recommend this tour!!
Discover Paris’ most famous island — Île de la Cité — on a guided walking tour. Let your expert local guide bring to life its iconic sights, such as Notre-Dame, as you learn about the neighborhood’s roots in the Middle Ages. Wander the medieval streets of the historical neighborhood, with a stop at the chapel of Sainte-Chapelle, a 13th-century chapel in the old Royal French palace with beautiful stained-glass windows. Hear about the Conciergerie, formerly a prison once home to Marie Antoinette herself, but now a well-known court of law. And, of course, you’ll see Notre-Dame from the outside. Hear about its medieval roots from your guide, how it inspired creatives over the centuries, and see how its exterior is still recognizable and memorable today.
Explore the medieval center of Paris on a fascinating 1.5-hour walking tour of the island that evolved into the City of Lights. You’ll discover how the Parisii tribe came to power and grew into a major European force in the Middle Ages. With your expert local guide, you’ll stroll along streets where the buildings are soaked in the blood of royal rulers and revolutionary rebels. From the peaceful atmosphere of Place Dauphine to the Conciergerie towers which were once home to royalty, Île de la Cité holds the dramatic tales of the journey towards self-rule which unfolded in Paris. You’ll pass by the Palais de Justice and Sainte Chapelle. The former was part of the royal palace and ironically where Marie Antionette was sentenced by the people to the guillotine. The latter was originally a private chapel built for royals in 1238 but it is now better known as a haven for lovers of stained gl...
Charles McKenzie was uniquely informative. Witty. In short, the perfect guide, with a vast knowledge of local history and pertinent information. He was fantastic and we can’t recommend him enough.

This was a fun tour! Simon our guide was excellent (watch out for the great impersonation of the French) and extremely personable. Great stories complemented by his own experiences brought it all to life. In the end we were having such a great time that we didn’t even notice that we had run over time by about 40 minutes and were sad to have reached the end. We always take walking tours wherever we go - this is a keeper.
Sebastien was early in meeting us on Monday night… was great having a small group as Sebastien was able to keep tour very intimate including offering up recommendations to restaurants and other local sites. While we have taken other Ghost / Dark Story Tours of Paris, Sebastien introduced new stories that we had not heard before…. Highly recommended!!!
Simon was an amazing tour guide, he keeps the stories factual, fun, and interesting, I definitely recommend this tour if you have the time as it has been the best tour I’ve been to in Paris.

Hannah was such an amazing guide. We loved to listen to her and the stories were really interesting!
