Amalfi Coast: Boat and Snorkeling Tour with Fruit & Drinks

Amalfi Coast: Boat and Snorkeling Tour with Fruit & Drinks

Board a traditional Amalfitan Gozzo boat with a small group of max 10 people for a scenic ride along Positano and the Amalfi Coast. Admire natural wonders like the Arch and Fjord of Furore, swim, snorkel, or relax on secluded beaches. Once everybody has jumped on board and had a little briefing about how you're going to spend the day, you will be ready to set off to the west towards Positano. The route will take you along Amalfi Coast’s finest beaches as well as close to natural rock arches and into sea caves, giving you the opportunity to admire the old watchtowers that dot the entire length of this coast. You will pause at beaches reachable only by sea and have time to go snorkeling or swimming in crystal-clear waters and into grottoes. Not too far from the starting point, right after leaving the center of Amalfi, you will get close to Saint Andrew's Grotto, a huge natural sea cave full of stalactites named after the patron saint of Amalfi (Andrea). Then, once passed Duoglio and Santa Croce beaches, you will stop by the "Arc of Lovers", a natural rock arch created millions of years ago by the erosion of the sea whose shape recalls two elephants in the act of kissing. A little later you will cruise in front of the ancient fishing village of Conca dei Marini, passing near the villa of Sophia Loren and seeing the historic hotel “Il Saraceno” located on La Vite Beach. From here you will also have a stunning view of the Santa Rosa Monastery, a former convent now converted into a luxury hotel, once home of the Dominican nuns. It's right in the kitchens of this monastery that the delicious "Sfogliatella Santa Rosa" was born, a shell-shaped pastry filled with ricotta cheese-based cream and little dried fruit pieces, typical of the local culinary tradition (don't forget to taste it before leaving!). Once past the seaside of Conca dei Marini you will enter its western basin, where you will have a beautiful view of Furore and Praiano villages and Li Galli islands. Further inside this basin we will find the little Runghetiello Grotto and its tiny beach, where you will anchor for a break to go swimming or snorkeling. You will reach then the famous Furore Fjord, the only natural fjord in Italy and location of the international diving competition "MarMeeting": every year in July, professional divers from around the world compete by jumping from the top of the bridge which is 28 meters high. Navigating a little farther onward to the village of Praiano you will be able to have a close look at a bigger sea cave, the Africana Grotto, where the water has a distinctive blue color thanks to the unique refraction of light. Finally you will go round Capo Sottile and continue cruising to Positano, where you will have another break for snorkeling at a beach reachable only by the sea and so not crowded at all: La Porta. The return trip to Amalfi will give you a different but equally remarkable view of both sea and land.

Then, once passed Duoglio and Santa Croce beaches, we will stop by the "Arc of Lovers", a natural rock arch created millions of years ago by the erosion of the sea whose shape recalls two elephants in the act of kissing. Up to not too long ago young couples used to get married on the top of it. A little later we will cruise in front of the ancient fishermen village of Conca dei Marini, passing near the villa of Sophia Loren and seeing the historic hotel “Il Saraceno” located on La Vite Beach. From here we will also have a stunning view of the Santa Rosa Monastery, a former convent now converted into a luxury hotel, once home of the Dominican nuns. Finally we will go round the cape of Praiano, where we will stop for a break and to go swimming just as the sun begins to dip behind Positano, casting golden light across the sea. The return trip to Amalfi will give us a different but equally remarkable view of both sea and land. From Amalfi: Capri Island Boat Tour with Snorkeling & Drinks

From Amalfi: Capri Island Boat Tour with Snorkeling & Drinks

Meet your guide at Darsena pier in the town of Amalfi and hop aboard a spacious boat. Once everyone is on board and briefed about the day ahead, set sail west toward Capri Island. Savor fresh fruits and drinks like prosecco, Amalfi Coast limoncello, beer, and soda. Unlike other companies that require guests to travel by bus from Amalfi to other departure ports like Sorrento or Piano di Sorrento, this tour starts right here in Amalfi—no traffic, no long transfers, and no waiting under the sun. Just hop on and enjoy. Explore Capri's pristine beaches, natural rock arches, and enchanting sea caves. Snap photos of the old watchtowers dotting the coast. Stop at secluded beaches only accessible by sea, giving you time to snorkel or explore grottoes. Cruise to the 'Arc of Lovers,’ a natural rock arch where couples once exchanged vows. Passing the ancient fishermen village of Conca dei Marini, catch a glimpse of Sophia Loren's villa and the historic "Il Saraceno" hotel on La Vite Beach. View the stunning Santa Rosa Monastery, now a luxury hotel, and birthplace of the delectable "Sfogliatella Santa Rosa." After Conca dei Marini, enter the western basin for views of Furore and Praiano, Li Galli island, and the Faraglioni Rocks. Pause at the Runghetiello Grotto, a picturesque cave named after a local fish, featuring vibrant frescoes on its red and green mineral-coated walls—a perfect spot for a refreshing dip. Arrive at Furore Fjord, Italy's only natural fjord, home to the "MarMeeting" diving competition where pros from around the world leap from the 28-meter bridge. Continue to Praiano to explore Africana Grotto, with its distinctively blue waters. Sail on to Capri. Disembark for a three-hour visit (no extra fees), with time for lunch (not included). While this tour doesn’t include a stop at the Blue Grotto—since the wait can stretch up to three hours under the sun, cutting into your island time—you can still visit it on your own. Local ferry companies offer priority access, making it a faster, easier option. In our opinion, it’s the best way to enjoy the experience without missing Capri. Get back on the boat and cruise along Capri’s southeast coast. Pass Villa Jovis, the splendid residence of Emperor Tiberius, followed by the Rock Window To The Sky, a large mountain cavity formed over millions of years. Navigate past the Faraglioni Rocks, the “guardians” of Capri, and explore sea caves like the White Grotto (Grotta Bianca) and Green Grotto (Grotta Verde). Make a splash with another swim stop before heading back to Amalfi on a return journey featuring stunning sunset views. Return to your meeting point with a deeper appreciation of the Amalfi Coast’s wonders.

Very packed day that showed you all the important stops of the amalfi coast. Highly recommend if you’re only around for a short time. Luigi added in quite a few surprise stops to make sure we saw everything too and Charlie got us everywhere safely. When we went they replaced Positano with ravello which I don’t think was a fair replacement. The city was quite dead, but the other stops made up for it and were gorgeous!

The best👍👍👍 From the hotel pick-up to the travel route and guide's explanations, and even the song selection on the bus, it's definitely the best👍 I totally recommend it!
