We leave Santiago de Compostela at 9:30 The first stop is Padrón, a town closely related to the Camino de Santiago (Portuguese Way) and with the history of the arrival of the Apostle to Galicia. We visit the church of Santiago (where the "Pedrón" is located), the Alameda and there is time for a coffee. Then you reach the island by crossing one of the longest bridges over the sea in Europe. Once there you can choose between taking a walk through the natural park with the guide, having a drink sitting by the sea or taking a dip in one of the fantastic beaches on the island! After an hour and a half on the island, the next stop will be Cambados. Once there, you cross the town's main square, Fefiñans, with its impressive "Pazo" and the interesting church of San Bieito. In this town you will have free time to taste local products in one of the many restaurants and also to try the famous wine of the area, the Albariño. Before entering the Ría de Pontevedra, the route visit the island of A Toxa. This island was the first vacation resort in Europe back in the late nineteenth century, it is also known for the soaps that were made here with the mineral salts of the water springs. You will see the historic "Gran Hotel LaToja", the old soap factory and the curious "Capilla de las Conchas" (completely covered with scallop shells). Already in the next estuary, the inlet of Pontevedra, the route reaches the town of Combarro. This is a wonderful example of popular architecture. We will walk through its granite alleys between granaries and stone crosses. There is an option to try mussels and local wine on the ship that sails from Combarro. The Marina of Combarro is the place where this activity starts. You'll seeing the mussel farms, the towns of Combarro and Marín from the sea and the island of Tambo. The return is around 7:30 p.m.

Nos reuniremos en la Praza Peirao da Chousa a la hora acordada, ahí laguía nos explicará la situación geográfica de Combarro, al igual que a quien pertenecía en el pasado. ¿Sabías que fue el único lugar de Galicia en el que la realeza no quiso asentarse? Ahora sí, bienvenidos al medievo, comenzaremos a recorrer la calle más estrechita para poder ver la arquitectura de los hórreos, como se usaba y como los campesinos usaron la imaginación para después de un día duro de trabajo supiesen desde alta mar saber que hórreo era el suyo. ¡Estar atentos por qué esto tiene muchísimo detalle! Al igual que, aprovecharemos para saber la diferencia de hórreo y hórrea. Posteriormente, en la misma calle nos detendremos delante de las tiendas de souvenirs para hablar de simbología Celta, ya que bien sabemos que los gallegos somos muy supersticiosos, y en una tierra que se ha quedado completamente paralizada en el medievo hablar de supersticiones. Ahora sí, ¡Empieza el museo de Cruceiros al aire libre más grande de Galicia! Y es que, en Combarro tenemos hasta 7 cruceiros completamente distintos, nos detendremos en cada uno de ellos: en el primero nos detendremos para hablar de cuál es su estructura, en el segundo veremos cual es su particularidad y es que, este cruceiro nos da que a los gallegos alguna vez se nos va de las manos beber licor café… Ahora sí, aprovechando la ría de Pontevedra y la vistaza de los hórreos ¡Momento foto! Lleva tu cámara y sácate el selfie o la panorámica por excelencia y presume de las Rías Baixas. Continuamos por la calle más estrecha, llamada Rúa Cega, y es que es ciega por algo ¿Me dejas que te lo cuente?Llegaremos a una de las plazas con más encanto de Combarro, y vamos a hablar de fiestas, y es que no podemos entender este lugar sin hacer referencia al año 1492, descubrimiento de América, y por supuesto, Cristóbal Colón. Los orígenes de Cristóbal Colón siguen siendo un misterio aún a día de hoy para todos los historiadores, pero se cuenta y se dice que podría ser gallego, y concretamente de Poio. Por lo que ¿Intentamos resolver el misterio y arreglar el mundo? Y es que, en tierras pontevedresas se encuentra el mayor parque natural de Secuoyas del mundo, y este fue un regalo de los estadounidenses a los gallegos. Continuamos con nuestros cruceiros por la Rúa de San Roque, hasta llegar a la capilla y allí hablaremos de enfermedades como la peste, así como de la Isla de Tambo. Sin embargo, Tambo y Combarro esconden otro tipo de secreto. Escucha, escucha que la historia negra está de moda. Seguiremos caminando hasta llegar a otra de las placitas con más encanto, pero con algo que aterraba a la población, el cruce de 4 caminos, por lo que es el momento de la historia de la Santa Compaña. Y para finalizar, la meiga Sarabia que es quién os guiará os sacará el mal de ojo recitando el Conxuro, eso sí, a su manera, que los 3000 años de vida dan para mucho.

It was a wonderful tour. The highlight was the boat ride on the Rías Baixas. Sonia, our tour guide was excellent at giving us a background on all the places we visited.

Great trip for the family! Unlimited fresh muscle on the boat, probably ate 2kg per person. It is a great opportunity to learn about Galician traditions.

Enjoyed the trip, especially the boat ride with mussels and drinks, it was so delicious! The view during the boat ride is beautiful!
