Full description

Skip the long ticket line and go straight to the fast track entrance for security checks. After entering the Colosseum at your allotted time, relive the stories of emperors and gladiators.

Begun under the emperor Vespasian in 72 AD, and completed by his son Titus in 80 AD, the Colosseum was the largest amphitheater ever built.

Imagine the ferocious fights between man and beast, as you stand in the elliptical arena, comprised of 4 levels, and once able to seat up to 73,000 spectators. Your ticket also includes one entry to the Palatine Hill and Roman Forum, must-see sights for all those visiting the “Eternal City.” According to ancient tradition, this is the spot where Rome was born.

Look down at the ruins of temples in the Imperial Forum, center of all political, social, and economic life in the city during the Roman Republic. Experience the most ancient parts of Rome from the most significant of its “Seven Hills.”

Got straight into the fast track line which was small and in within minutes was in the Colosseum. A securety check was needed but again this was done within minutes. Same for the Roman forum and Palatine Hill. One entry for Forum and Palatine hill. No issues with online vouchers. Did not need to take ID as stated in the description. Water fountains in The Roman forum grounds but can't recall seeing them at The Collosseum. Plenty of toilets.

Would have probably preferred to do this with a guide on reflection but still spent a little over 2 hours walking around by ourselves. Some beautiful views around the Palatine Hill, and the architecture is stunning. The colosseum speaks for itself, only issue is there was a lot of scaffolding with the restoration so took away some of the immersion I will say it is very very busy. Lot of groups walking around, school trips etc and was a lot of barging to get better views or get past you. Going at 1pm in the middle of May probably has a lot to do with that

I mean. It’s one of the most famous buildings in the world. What do you think it’s like? Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Good access to the place, lots of places to take pics and the bonus of the ticket to Roman Forum was a cherry on top. Staff were friendly and security was a breeze to get through
