Excellent tour with an excellent guide, Tara. Great knowledge and contextual understanding was consistently demonstrated in a relaxed, personable and focused way. Good to have a headset to be able to clearly hear Tara's insights. Care was taken to ensure as much shade as possible was provided to the group and that hydration was encouraged. Staff really helpful upon arrival at start point, ensuring we caught the tour. Running late in part due to directions. Would suggest an edit to say that when standing on the terrace with the colloseum at you back head up the road to the right of the footbridge where you will find the rendezvous point on the left by the purple flags. Will be recommending to friends who are shortly to visit Rome

The Palatine Hill and Roman Forum offer an unparalleled journey through time, where the founding legends of Rome lived and left their mark in history.

Know before you go

  • Each participant must enter their official full name and date of birth during the booking process. Failure to do so will result in denied entry at the monument.
  • The entrance ticket fee to the archaeological sites is €16 for adults (€22 for the arena option), accompanied by a €2 reservation fee. The additional amount covers services provided by experienced licensed guides, audio devices, reservation fees, and other tour amenities.
  • During July and August, the guided tour lasts 2 hours.
  • All guests need to go through security checks before entering the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Please keep in mind that during high season, waiting time may be longer than usual.
  • Tours will continue rain or shine. Our guides will ensure you have an enjoyable experience regardless of the forecast.
  • If the full tour option is selected, the tour includes a visit to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. The order of these visits can vary and may be subject to internal arrangements at the Colosseum.

Our tour guide was both energetic and knowledgeable and provided detailed historical information throughout. We really enjoyed his friendly and his presentation of various pictures of how at times the coliseum looked and the pulleys used to release different dangers to those fighting for their lives, honor, etc. Thank you Henry!.
