A great trip: Chathu was a superb guide. Started wonderfully with a great breakfast with a great view. Dambulla’s Cave (+2000 LKR) and Golden Temples started the day off wonderfully with incredible statues. Sigiriya (+11600 LKR) was an absolute highlight - what a stunning sight and feat of architecture and art from so long ago. Be prepared though for heat and direct sun exposure while ascending to the top of the rock - sunscreen, appropriate clothing, water, sunnies and hat are essential. The guide also made the lost past come alive, describing what once would have stood here. The safari (+50-100 USD pp) is can’t-miss if you want to see elephants in the wild and ride through a national park on a jeep, canopy open. It was an amazing experience, if not a little long. The tour was an amazing way to explore Sri Lanka from Colombo, I would highly recommend it as a day trip and our driver/guide truly elevated the experience! I shared with one other in a comfortable, air conditioned car.

I had another great trip with this company, this time to Kandy, with the same awesome driver, Chathu, who I had travelled with the day prior to Sigiriya and Dambulla. Kandy was a beautiful place - a green paradise. The Royal Botanic Gardens (+3000 LKR) were gorgeous and sprawling, I’m not even sure I managed to see everything since it was so big. Kandy in general was awesome, the trees and the mountains. The Geragama tea factory was excellent; the tasting in particular was brilliant, trying some of the top notch tea produced in Sri Lanka. The Temple of the Sacred Tooth (+2000 LKR) was also special - I learned so much about Buddhism from the guide and he was great at helping me take a lot of photos, I don’t think I would have understood it nearly as much. Pinnawala (+20+ USD) was not personally my cup of tea - much better to see elephants in the wild 😥 and I wouldn’t come back to it. But it was certainly memorable! All in all: an incredible way to see more of this great country.

OUR driver was Katie was very friendly and easy communication with deaf people. he used gestured and write down. he took us to the beautiful Kandy and rode & fed elephant, tea factory and the most beautiful white temple. we recommend to use Kani again in the future.

The safari was incredible! Our guide had over 10yrs experience so knew all the perfect spots to see all types of animals. We saw a leopard up very close. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sri Lanka! Well worth it.

I had an excellent experience with this tour. Our guide Chattu was so friendly and helpful. Sigiriya rock was full of wonder even with the intense sunlight and high humidity.
