The entire trip was enjoyable, but the Jeep Safari was the highlight! Thanks to their flexible arrangements, we were able to choose between the Jeep Safari and the Village Safari. We had researched the Jeep Safari beforehand and had been looking forward to it. We drove toward the national park with the wind blowing through our hair, and the guide pointed out animals he spotted along the way. We also got to know people from other countries who were riding in other Jeeps. Everyone was friendly, and it was an unforgettable experience. We were worried about seeing elephants during the hot hours, but to our surprise, we got to see many elephants up close! The pickup time for the hotel was accurate, and since we received a message in advance, we could participate with peace of mind. However, climbing Sigiriya Rock during the hot hours might be a bit challenging for those without much stamina. However, there was a dedicated guide who encouraged us, so we were able to climb with their support.

We started our tour at Ambuluwawa tower on top of a hill top. The spiral stair got tighter and tighter. About 4ft across at the top. My legs were like jelly. 4 people in front stopped me getting to the pinnacle. No passing possible. Next we went onto Pinnawal elephant orphanage where they were fed and taken down to the river to bathe. From there we went to a tea factory. Tasted some teas and enjoyed the description from our host into how they make them and why. From there we went to the royal botanical gardens where we enjoyed the different plants and trees. Finally a stop at Bahirawakanda Temple on the hill top. The guide for our day was Ramzan, he spoke excellent English and very kindly bought us some lemon biscuits and a bottle of water. he allowed us to adapt the day to suit what we wanted to do. where we wanted spend more time it was easily accommodated. he was a fantastic guide to have. 👍🏻

Our driver Dhanesh was friendly and very kind. We didn't have enough cash on us to enter the attraction sights (they weren't accepting cards). He lent us some cash and saved our day. Thank you so much. Smooth driving in comfortable AC car for the whole way. We had a wonderful day trip.
