    Great tour although not quite what I was expecting

    I took a group of 21 to this (we booked for 20 but they let the extra person pay by cash on the day). What wasn't clear from the description was that you don't get to see any actual brewing, the "breweries" have all outsourced production and are basically just pubs these days, so what you are getting is a pub crawl with some historical commentary. Possibly a bit overpriced, but the tour guide was very very good and also gave us loads of extra information about Cologne and where else to go, so I'd still recommend it as long as you're not expecting to see anything behind the scenes.

    Boris our tour guide made it good despite some confusion

    It wasn't made clear that the tour was in German, which the German tour guide was annoyed about when we arrived (once we found her). Fortunately her colleague, Boris, was amazing and great fun. Should be made clear that this is not a brewery tour but a tour to some pubs essentially.

    Great tour with Leona, our “Kölsche Mäd’l”. We had fun 2 hours, learning a lot about the history or the DOM and the old city center, as well as funny side stories and fairytales from the city’s past! Highly recommend this tour to everyone new to cologne.

    Fantastic tour led by a well informed (and funny) guide

    This is a good tour for finding about the history of some of the bars and beer in cologne. Fifteen went on the trip and all of us agreed it was excellent value and a thoroughly enjoyable tour. Tour guide spoke excellent English.
