I learned from fellow travelers that I overpaid for this trip by booking in advance online. Better to do in Arequipa plaza de armas a few days prior. In talking to others about it, it sounds like lots of different companies skim profit from bookings...kind of discouraging. Had problems getting a confirm to be picked up, even though I was staying in central historic Arequipa. I was picked up and when got to Chivay had a horrible breakfast of instant coffee and cold bread. Then it was very unclear who my guide was, if I was with the right group or not. That being said, once I was with my group, our guide was a sweet young man who did his best to make sure everyone was okay. Food from then on was excellent. The canyon hikes were amazing and met some really nice people. Suggest bringing book or e-reader to fill down time in the canyon. No Wi-Fi of course.

Beautiful day, despite the length of the journey and the alarm clock very early. I would like to say an important thing. We all noticed that the driver was the same from morning to afternoon. Considering that the pick up was at 2.30 and we finished around 17.00, the driver did not have the opportunity to sleep and rest even for half an hour. For such long tours you should expect two drivers to change. Not only for the safety of your customers, but above all to allow a decent rest for the driver

Long day but very interesting especially if you have a guide like ours !!! It was she who gave interest to this day. We of course saw the magnificent landscapes of the Colca canyon and its surroundings (volcanoes, villages, national park, condors ...): she told us everything in detail! However, you should know that we spend a lot of time on the bus during this day (there are only stop-minutes).

If you are short in time this trip covers everything you need to have an awesome experience during your time in Arequipa. You are going to see a volcano (coughing, if you are lucky), alpacas, condors (if you are lucky), the Colca Canyon and the beautiful countryside of Peru! Have a look at the trip description for more details!

Very nice activity. For those who want to surpass themselves. I advise in 3 days to appreciate the visual experience and for those who are more beginners as for treking. The Fabian guide is excellent. Good knowledge of the path, mixes with the group and good knowledge of plants. Thanks to the whole José team
