What people are saying about Coimbra
This was a really great tour. I don't understand what past reviewers are complaining about. The guide gave us an excellent balance between free time and "guiding" At Fatima to want/need free time to experience the spiritual aspects on your own.. there is really no need to a "guided tour" unless you are unfamiliar with the story. We had a fabulous lunch at a local Fatima hotel, buffet style with wine. The at Coimbra the guide gave us a wonderful tour and shared a cherry aperitif with us at a local restaurant. we then had an 30 minutes to tour on our own. It was fine. The tour company was professional, on time, friendly.. a great day, I highly recommend it.
Christian was an exceptional guide...very knowledgeable, accommodating, as well as entertaining too. In ten hours, we managed to travel to Fatima, visit the homes of the shepherds, attend the Palm Sunday mass, enjoy a very good buffet lunch as well as shop for a few souvenirs. We then visited Coimbra which was another beautiful destination and rich with history and culture. We also had time to buy the delicious Nata/Portuguese egg tarts to bring home with us. This is a tour which we can highly recommend as it was so much more than we expected.
An enthousiatic and professional guide Anne-Sofia with good time management - eye for details - personal service - safe driver - giving you a good feeling and very positive minded - good agreements about pick ups and timing - this all together made the trip to Fatima and Coimbra a dream - I could recommend this trip but also this marvellous guide to everybody
To visit Fátima in my all life, it's special, fantastic of my religious life. Moreover, the guide gave me something new like religion, place, Portuguese culture, etc. He is kind, humorous, very intelligent person. Especially, he loves his country, Portugal. From this trip, I have any good chance to know, understand Portugal. It was happy time. Thanks a lot.
We are told that the European's oldest University is so crowd and we have only twenty minutes to look outside. So we change to the other site where we only had seventy minutes to walk and have lunch. The Obido village and Fatima are OK. The guide introduced us in the car and let us visiting by ourselves.
