Full description
Your coastal adventure begins with pickup from your Coffs Harbour accommodation then heads south to Urunga. Wander through the picturesque Paperbark Forest and then into the Urunga Wetlands. As you stroll, watch and listen to local birds and frogs, and feel immersed in the tranquility of this majestic location. After your walk, take a short drive to the famous Urunga Boardwalk and enjoy an easy 1 km wander down to the ocean, taking in views of both the Kalang and Bellinger Rivers and the Great Dividing Range behind you. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, be treated to a tasty morning tea of homemade cake, fresh seasonal fruit, and a selection of tea and coffee.

At the next stop, choose between kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding on the beautiful Bonville Creek. Don’t worry about your experience level as your helpful guide will be with you at all times. As you paddle with the tide, watch the birds that fly above you as well as the fish and sting rays swimming in the water. If you’d rather stay on dry land, there’s plenty of other activities to keep you occupied. A gourmet picnic lunch is then served at a stunning location that overlooks the water.

With a belly full of food, relax as you drive north to the next destination of the day. Upon arrival, be amazed by the hundreds of resident kangaroos bouncing about around you. Snap photos of your new furry friends and marvel at views of the surrounding Solitary Islands, headlands, and beaches. You should also keep a lookout for eagles, dolphins, and even whales if the timing is right. Finally, enjoy a drive through the sprawling countryside, passing by colorful blueberry farms and banana plantations. Arrive at the award-winning Forest Sky Pier and take in breathtaking panoramic views over Coffs Harbour and beyond before returning to your accommodation with a smile and a lifetime of memories.
