Overview
Discover 2 archaeological ruins, a cenote, and enjoy an authentic Caribbean beach in Tulum on this full-day small group or private group tour from Cancun.
What to Expect
Start the day in Tulum after a pick-up from your hotel. A majestic city once ruled by Halach Uinicoob, the palaces still show their wealth in the paintings and decoration. You'll also find excellent lines of zac beoob (white paths) allowing you to see the infrastructure of the city from the 10th century. Witness this icon of greatness and beauty due to its incredible contrast between culture and nature. The turquoise waters of the Caribbean and the majestic temples and city walls turn this seafront ruin into something unique.

After visiting Tulum, you will take a trip for 45 minutes to Coba, considered one of the most important cities during the height of the Mayan civilization. With about 50,000 inhabitants at its peak and a total area of 80 square kilometers, there are many powerful iconic monuments in its representations and internal and external zac beoobs (white paths) that connect the buildings and cities among themselves. The longest path runs 100 kilometers and reaches Yaxuna, another Mayan city. Climbing its 42 meters high pyramid and living the mysticism of the past is a memorable experience. Its Mayan past and present turn this place into a living treasure. The two kilometer tour to the main pyramid can be done by tricycle (a taxi for two with a driver included) or by bicycle on flat paths.

Afterwards, have lunch at a restaurant in front of Coba Lagoon. You will be able to taste regional dishes and try real handmade corn tortillas. The current population of the Coba municipality is of Mayan descent, and the language still prevails. After lunch, travel to Cenote Cho-Ha, one of the closed cenotes. Through a spiral staircase, you will enter a cave full of countless stalactites and crystalline waters where you can enjoy a relaxing bath before lunch. In this kind of cenote, the water is usually 20 to 21 degrees Celsius. Finish the tour in Playa Paraíso, Tulum. A perfect combination of culture and nature, your holiday package will not lack the perks and joys of the crystalline waters of the Mexican Caribbean with its white thin sand pleasant to the touch. Get to know one of the most privileged public beaches on the coast of Tulum, where the 120 kilometer of the Mayan Riviera ends and the biosphere reserve of Sian Kaan begins.
