Right from the start, Hugh proved himself to be an amazing captain and guide. He showed us all the best part of the River Derwent on the way to the Iron Pot lighthouse, taking time, never rushing and making sure we enjoyed every previous second. A lot of history delivered with a healthy dose of humour, engaging everyone from the youngest to the young at heart. It’s an amazing half a day, and would definitely do it again had I enough time! For those with a fascination for lighthouses in remote settings, seals and sea birds, rugged coastlines, don’t miss this trip! And get Hugh!

Tom was a most excellent Captain! We were.lucky with the weather but his commentary was fab and even the jokes weren't that bad!!! Excellent short cruise around the Derwent with snippets of history and ecological explanations. My budding marine scientist on board just loved it. Thanks for a amazing outing!

Ross was an excellent guide - knowledgeable and friendly with excellent banter. Our fellow tour travelers were wonderful - a small group is the way to go 😊 oh, and the wine was very good to excellent as well, even for two dyed in the wool Shiraz drinkers - thoroughly recommended ✅
