What people are saying about Civitavecchia
Street bus attendants were great. Very helpful and needed in such a busy place. Traffic was the worst. Almost 2 hours to go 55 min. If the folks in Rome would yield to others, things would go faster. Give yourself 3 hours before you go on a tour. You can stroll around but have less anxiety.
The shuttle bus took longer than advertised (about 90 minutes instead of an hour), and there was a little bit of walk to the station (maybe 7 minutes with suitcases, less without), but otherwise, this was a good way of getting to the centre of Rome from the cruise port.
Great service into Rome at a great price. Drop off was close to but not at Rome Termini Station. This was not an issue for us, but it could be a problem for other travelers. The bus was clear and left on time. Definitely a good easy way to get into Rome after a cruise.
As you come out the pedestrian exit where the port shuttle drops you off, turn immediate right and walk about 50m, and/or follow person/instructions to Big Bus. Would have been easier to find the bus if we'd had these instructions rather than a street address.
We had to ask a few people as to the exact location of our pick up point. I don't know if it would help if the company would provide a more detailed description. Otherwise all good!
