Before the tour even started we got a call and message from the tour owner Fabrizio to give us contact info and coordinate meeting. Fabrizio also followed up after to make sure the trip was good. It was! Emanuele was GREAT! Upon picking us up he asked us what we wanted to do and see and built the itinerary around it. He was very knowledgeable about the sights and had a book and audio tape for each. He was courteous and thoughtful, suggesting we stop for restroom and water before entering the city, giving us advice on how much time we should spend and what we should look for. He always dropped us off right at each site and was exactly where he said he would be. He selected a nice restaurant for lunch and waited within view. We saw so much in such a short time and NEVR felt rushed. These are the same guys Disney uses, for half the price. Book with confidence. Excellent.
Truly great experience. We had our own personal driver and guide for the entire day. No waiting in line, no trouble and we were able to see all the sights in great detail. We were on a cruise and for the little bit more expense we had this wonderful guide and driver and we were able to go inside the Vatican, Sistine chapel, St Peter's basilica and tour the Coliseum plus see the Pantheon and Trevi fountain. I would not hesitate to book this again. Everybody was very accommodating.
The tour itself is excellent, the guide is very enthusiastic. Easy to find the meeting point and convenient drop off. The only draw back is they could manage the timing of the bus better. The bus send us back to the port 25 mins later than expected, leaving us only 5 mins before the all aboard time. So a group of us have to run to the port shuttle to catch the last shuttle back to ship. A bit scared that we would miss the ship but luckily we are all fine and we are not alone.
Arrived from the cruise ship by shuttle bus the bus for the tour is in the same depot. The area was chaotic and we had to stand around waiting to find out what was happening. Coach trip is about an hour and a half with a short comfort break. The trip doesn't include any guided audio talk, you can upgrade to another tour. Extra cost for entrance to the Basilica with guide using the express line. You need cash as they don't take payment by card.
Very rewarding experience and most impressive service. Our guide, Patricia, was well versed in so many cultural and historical facts about Rome and it's people and artefacts. She was so informative and helpful and the skip the line made us feel privalaged. This really helped us to fit so much in when we had such a short time frame to meet up with our cruise ship. Highly, highly recommended
