What to Expect
Enjoy a private tour of Rome from Civitavecchia port with round trip transportation included. Perfect for small groups of 2 to 8 people. An English-speaking driver will be available during the whole excursion and will assist travelers with basic information about the sites including suggestions.
The tour begins with 08:00 departure from the pier of your cruise ship. You will find your driver directly under your boat with a sign and your name on it. Enjoy transportation from Civitavecchia port to Rome (approx. 1.5 hours).
After approx. 1.5 hours (depending on traffic) we will stop in the city where you start visiting the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum (only outside), the center of ancient Rome where we will drop you off to enjoy free time observing this breathtaking site of the ancient Romans.
Next, discover Venice Square, which is famous for the Vittoriano. This is also where Benito Mussolini made the declaration of the second World War. At Navona Sqaure, observe the site where the Stadium of Domitian was built in 1st Century AD. The ancient Romans came there to watch the AGONES ("games").

Following, you will see the famous Pantheon, which was commissioned by Marco Agrippa as a Temple of all gods. It is one of the best preserved of all Roman buildings.

Take photos of Trevi Fountain. A traditional legend holds that if visitors throw a coin into the fountains, they are ensured a return in Rome. Don't forget! And then visit Spanish Sqaure. In the Piazza di Spagna at the base is the Early Baroque fountain called Fontana della Barcaccia ("Fountain of the ugly Boat"), built in 1627-29 and often credited to Pietro Bernini, father of a more famous son, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, who is recently said to have collaborated on the decoration.

Finally, a tour to Rome would not be complete without a visit to the Vatican and S.Peter Basilica. You will be given 1.5 hours of free time to explore this area independently.

Itinerary details are indicative and may need to be changed by the driver in case of heavy traffic or any other unforeseen situation. In the event of such a case, needing a change in itinerary, your driver would explain the situation and provide you with alternative suggestions.

Depart Rome at 15:40 and return to your ship where we will arrive at 17:00.
