Full description
Be welcomed by your professional and licensed guide at the Bath of Caracalla where your small group tour starts. Your guide will give you a full description of the Bath of Caracalla while walking inside this wonderful ancient second largest thermal bath of Rome. This building is among the most monumental and imposing archaeological complexes of the entire Imperial epoch. Continue by visiting the Maximus Circus. This grand stadium was a chariot racetrack in Rome first constructed in the 6th century AD. The Circus was also used for other public events such as the Roman Games and gladiator fights and was last used for chariot races in the 6th century AD. Terminating this part of the tour, your guide will lead you up to one of the seven hills of Rome, Aventine Hill. The Aventine Hill is best-known to visitors for its magnificent views over the city, but there are also some interesting sights, including several churches and a couple of gardens. Then move to the famous keyhole where St. Peter's Basilica can be seen. St. Peters Dome is perfectly centered in the view from the keyhole. Finally, admire the wonderful and unique view over Rome from the Orange Garden Terrace and see how St. Peter's Dome dominates the skyline of the city.

Great experience

Highly recommended! The Caracalla thermal baths are an absolute insider tip. Practically nothing going on, so a very relaxed but absolutely interesting tour.
