What to Expect
Discovering by eBike the Ricote valley, which is settled in the Region of Murcia, is a privileged moment in order to understand the cultural, historical and landscape evolution of Southern Spain.

Starting in Cieza, you will discover in first place the old quarters of the city where there are plenty of post-Moorish architecture pieces.

After visiting the Siyasa museum, where glorious pieces of Moorish architecture are still preserved from the deserted village that was erected in the other bank of the river, you will head through a path among mountains, pine forests and irrigation ditches, towards the small orchard town named Abaran. Landscape, crops and irrigation ditches are like Moroccan valleys.

Arriving in Abaran, on the bank of Segura river, the landscape of olive trees, bitter oranges and vegetables reflects the wealthy of this land.

While visiting Abaran, you can enjoy a little snack or traditional meal in one of the viewpoints that dominates the valley.

In order to come back to Cieza, you will follow the Route of waterwheels, these great wheels are inherited from the medieval time which serve to water this fertile valley.
