Full description

Leave Mexico City behind and discover the cultures that founded it. Choose your closest pickup spot and explore the greater State of Mexico. Learn incredible facts about the cities and sacred sites that thrived before Spanish influence. Your experience begins with a walk through the Plaza de las Tres Culturas. Visit the church of Santiago de Tlatelolco, contemplate the ruins of a pre-Hispanic city, and see the monument in honor of the student movement of 1968. Continue your experience at the Guadalupe Basilica complex and climb the sacred hill of Tepeyac, the place where the Virgin Mary appeared to the Indian Juan Diego. Head to the Chapel of the Roses and enjoy a sweeping view of Mexico City.

During the visit to the religious complex, admire the Chapel of the Indians, the Chapel of the Pocito, and the modern basilica, the place where the sacred blanket of Juan Diego is kept. To finish off your experience, go to the State of Mexico and discover the archaeological complex of Teotihuacan. Explore the archaeological zone and learn about the important history of this significant pre-Hispanic city. In Teotihuacan, you'll have time for lunch at a traditional restaurant, where you can enjoy a variety of typical dishes of the region (costs not included). It was a good tour, timely and very informative. It's ideal if you want to cover some of the most important spots in Mexico City, while getting great information and enjoying your time. The only thing to be aware of is the email, if the place where you are staying is not listed in the pickups they provide make sure to check your email the day before in case you are scheduled to be picked up in a different place. But that's like a major exception. Overall I think it was great, fun and we covered a lot in the 8 hours the tour lasted.

Danke ! :)

Nice day trip. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and fun. He did an amazing job at talking to both English and Spanish-speaking tour-goers. Sadly, you can no longer climb the pyramids, which is understandable but the tour description is misleading – it states you can. As other reviews have said, the lunch stop is a bit disappointing and overpriced. We had only 1 hour to spend at the site, which for me wasn't enough to visit everything and take lots of pictures. We didn't take any group photos on the day (as a solo traveller, I had to ask strangers around to take some pics for me). Aside from that, it was a really great trip. Loved the obsidian shop stop – super informative and fun. And, again, loved our guide.
