On this 6-hour shore excursion you’ll meet your private guide at Dubrovnik’s cruise ship port. Relax in an air-conditioned transfer vehicle on a leisurely drive to the base of Mount Srđ, the 1,352-foot mountain that towers over the city. As you travel, feel free to ask your guide any questions you may have. Board the cable car for a panoramic ride up Mount Srđ. Take in the stunning aerial views of the city and the Dalmatian coast as you ascend to the summit. When you arrive, gaze out at the jaw-dropping views from the 2 panoramic terraces. It is said that on a clear day you can see sights up to 37 miles away. Spend a few moments snapping photos, and then perhaps head to the snack bar or restaurant to refuel with a drink and some food (at your own expense). There is also a souvenir shop where you can buy gifts if you like. After exploring the summit you’ll ride the cable car back down to the base of Mount Srđ. Back on the ground, follow your guide to Dubrovnik Old Town. As you meander through the maze of cobbled streets and narrow passageways, you’ll learn about the area’s rich cultural and historical significance. See Onofrio's Fountain and continue past Sponza Palace. Walk across the main square to see the Baroque Cathedral of the Assumption, which was rebuilt in the 18th century, following an earthquake. We will visit Onofrio´s, St. Saviour´s Church, Franciscan monastery, a jewel of cultural and artistic heritage of Dubrovnik Republic, beautiful St. Blaise church, unavoidable Statue of Orlando, glamorous Rector´s Palace, elegant Cathedral, charming Old Port and fishermen returning with their catches. The tour will finish with coffee in some of cafes in the Old town. Indispensable ritual of locals is first morning coffee, so we will do the same.
