Church of Santa Maria della Neve

The tour continues admiring a stately villa renamed Maria Callas' House where the queen of opera used to stay for her holidays in the fifties; she talked about it in several interviews saying she fell in love with this place on the lake for the peace and quiet. A few steps away we find the park dedicated to her and the characteristic Church of San Pietro in Mavino dating back to the 1300s in Romanesque style and built in one of the highest and most panoramic points of the village. On the other side of the village, however, we can admire the Beach of Blondes, another very popular beach with a beautiful pier for a panoramic view of the lake and we finish the guided tour along the panoramic pedestrian street called the Walk of the Muses which takes us back to the heart of the village.
