During the visit to Savoca we will explore the locations linked to the film, such as the Bar Vitelli, where Michael Corleone asked for Apollonia's hand, and the Church of Santa Lucia, where the wedding took place. 11.30am - Transfer to the Schiavi Castle After Savoca we will head to Castello Schiavi in Fiumefreddo di Sicilia, another iconic location from the film. During the journey, enjoy the breathtaking Sicilian countryside. 12.15pm - Visit to the Schiavi Castle (to be paid on site) At Castello Schiavi you can explore the rooms and gardens used in the film. The Bar is known as the place where Michael Corleone meets Mr. Vitelli and asks his permission to woo his daughter Apollonia, this is also where the official engagement and party after the wedding ceremony will take place. After visiting the Church of Santa Lucia, you will trace the path the newlyweds took during the wedding ceremony. Next stop is Forza D'Agro, which serves as the backdrop for many scenes filmed in the trilogy. During your stay in this village, you will see typical alleys and a number of historic churches. One of the film's locations is the Cathedral of Maria S. Annunziata; Michael goes to Corleone for the first time with his bodyguards. Forza D'Agrò was also chosen by Francis Ford Coppola for his "The Godfather - Part III": the scene in which old Michael shows his American wife the birthplace of his father Vito Andolini of Corleone was filmed here.
