  • This activity is perfect for who has no problems with stairs.
  • Our classroom is on the third floor in the Japanese traditional building with only stairs.
  • Please come with comfortable walking shoes as this tour is mainly a walking tour.
  • There could be a delay at when tour ends, if you have an appointment or plan right after this tour please let us know in advance
  • In case of late arrival, the tour cannot be extended.
  • No refunds will be given for cancellations or late arrivals on the day of the tour.
  • Infants and toddlers are free of charge, but if they want to try their hand at making sushi, they must use their parent/guardians sushi kit. They will not receive their own sushi kit to make.
  • Unfortunately, we do not accommodate vegetarian, halal, gluten-free requests, or allergy-related requests

It was wonderful! Our Tsukiji market guide, Tadashi (Tad) was so sweet and waited for us a bit in the rain (we were late) and then we had the best tour. He knew all the spots to go to, and even arranged for us to try samples where they wouldn’t normally be allowed. We got to know some of the vendors and basically saw the entire market. He explained the history of the market, its role as a market and in Tokyo society today, and we got to know so much about Japanese culture from him. I would recommend going on any tour with him. The sushi making experience was also amazing. We learned so much about different types of fish, got to watch the amazing sushi chef prepare everything, and got to learn the art of the craft. I am not much of a chef myself so I was nervous I would not be able to do this well (and my sushi was very ugly as a result), but all the instructors in the sushi making class gave me lots of tips and confidence and I was proud of it. I would definitely do this again!
