Experience snow and ice, an Antarctic storm, take the polar plunge ice water challenge, learn about life in modern modern-day Antarctica and Scott Base, and hang out with Little Blue Penguins. Try the famously exciting Hagglund ride and an awesome simulated 4D cruise Ice Voyage.

  • The Hagglund Ride is not recommended for pregnant visitors or those with heart conditions, back or neck pain. There is a height restriction for this ride, guests must be minimum of 1.2 metres tall.
  • The 4D movie includes realistic 3D imagery and 4D special effects of seat movement, water spray, air bursts, and bubbles. Viewer discretion is advised for those who are pregnant, suffering from neck or back pain, epilepsy or heart conditions. The show is considered suitable for all ages and parental discretion is recommended for children under 5 years.

from when we first walked into the building our experience was amazing. when we reached the first guide she informed us of all the times to be aware of to maximize our time based around our hagglund ride eg feeding the penguins, 4D show and the storm room. this helped us plan the rest of our time in the center. everything was absolutely enjoyable. we allowed ourselves 2 1/2hrs for this centre and spent 4 1/2 hrs (including half hour lunch) as we enjoyed it so much. we would definitely suggest allow 2 hrs as a minimum to cover everything. there is a lot of information that can be viewed on video or read that is informative if you care to take the time to read and absorb. absolutely loved this whole experience
