I had a wheelchair which could be folded up. This was coped with by the conductor but NZ in general is NOT disabled friendly. The step onto the tram was high and a stool was sometimes provided to bridge the space. I wouldn’t want to be traveling alone if disabled.

This is a perfect way to see the city when you have limited time. It gives you an overview and you can then choose to visit the areas you like for a longer time. Very informative about main aspects of Christchurch and it's history. Driver was entertaining and had all the facts at his fingertips.

Very easy to book online, we were able to collect the tickets on arrival in Christchurch. Trams run a figure of eight around the city centre and take in the majority of sites to see. The driver was very friendly and knowledgeable, outlining the history of the area and relevant places to visit. Well worth doing a complete circuit if time allows and then return to your favourites. Definitely recommend it to get the most out of your trip.
