What to Expect
Enjoy a tour of the Christ the Redeemer statue (Cristo Redentor) on Corcovado mountain, and get spectacular views of Rio de Janeiro.
Start by traveling past the golden sands of Copacabana Beach and Botafogo Beach. Continue to Guanabara Palace and the Palácio Laranjeiras, the official residence of the Governor of the State of Rio de Janeiro. See the site of the first coffee farms (roasting houses) from the 1800s at Cosme Velho.
Then, enter Tijuca Forest and experience the world’s largest urban rainforest. Stop at Painswick and National Monument Park, before ascending to the Christ the Redeemer statue, built at the top of Corcovado in the 1920s. Enjoy panoramic views of Rio and the Atlantic Ocean, before descending via the Apothecary and Chamber of Pineapples, relics of the Empire of Brazil.
