The gallery is really worth a visit. We did not have enough time to see everything on offer as we had to leave to catch our flight. Our only problem was that having brought our lunch so we could leave in the afternoon for the flight we discovered we could not leave the food in our backpacks in luggage storage and had to throw it all away. It would have been good to have been advised of this when we booked our tickets. And there is no cafe in the museum so we could not get any refreshments and after 3 hours wandering around we really needed something so we had to leave.

I am a lover of the many mediums used for art. I had finally had my first trip to Chicago to visit my best friend of about 22 years. The Art Institute was the no. 1 place I was wanted to see while there. I came across this app and downloaded it. We each got our entry tickets this way. When we arrived there were many people in line to get there tickets. However because we used this app we were able to walk straight through the lobby, not even going to the line for those purchasing tickets, we presented our phones and with a quick swipe we started our walk and inspiration gripped me immediately. For any art lover, you will not be disappointed with The Institute. This app let me start viewing masterpieces without the haste of waiting in line. The ticket price was also a great deal.

We visited the Art Institute on a Saturday around 11:30am. With our skip-the-line ticket, we were able to walk right in with no wait. I suggest going early as it starts getting crowded very quickly. Museum is filled with stunning pieces, exhibits, and sculptures. One could easily spend an entire day at the institute. Make sure to pick up a visitor's guide at the entrance. Restrooms are easily located and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to walk to the institute so I can't really comment on parking however parking in Chicago is generally expensive and hard to find. I would recommend walking, taking a taxi, or public transportation. Cafe is closed for now due to COVID. Overall, a great visit.
