Full description

Your tour begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Chiang Mai in the late afternoon or early evening. Head to the first temple of Wat Pha Lat, tucked away in a mountain landscape. Reach the temple and admire its unique architectural style which combines Thai and Burmese details placed in a jungle setting. Listen to the serene sounds of waterfalls and relax for a bit before heading to the next location. From Wat Pha Lat, go to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of northern Thailand’s most sacred temples. Climb 306 steps to be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding area and the temple itself. Be impressed by the preservation of the 14th-century gold pagoda which enshrines a relic, Buddha’s shoulder bone. After spending time on the temple grounds, hop back in your vehicle to be driven back to Chiang Mai.

Very beautiful temple and scenery. We did the night tour and got to see the temples lit at night and the monks' chanting. There were lots of tourists but that was expected. Shout out to Pon Pon, our guide, who kept us entertained as he shared about his prior experience as a monk. The 306 steps up to the temple was really cool. I'd recommend this evening activity if you're looking for something to do but don't want to book a full day tour.
