Full description

Meet elephants on this guided day trip from Chiang Mai to the Lanna Kingdom Elephant Sanctuary, located in the middle of a lush national park. Here the elephants are able to roam freely in a large green space. Keep your clothes clean by wearing local clothes and boots. Feed and interact with rescued elephants before sitting down to a freshly cooked lunch.

Depart Chiang Mai aboard an air-conditioned van and journey into the mountains of northern Thailand to visit the ethical Lanna Kingdom Elephant Sanctuary (approximately 1-hour drive from the city center).

Upon arrival, learn about the elephant conservation program and benefit from an introductory talk, and the chance to interact with the rescued animals. Get the chance to give them a hug and discover how to prepare a healthy meal to feed them.

Go for a walk around the sanctuary with the elephants and stop to give them a mud bath to keep their body temperature down and protect them from parasites. Feed them before enjoying a homemade lunch at a restaurant inside the sanctuary.

Once in a life time experience. We did the full day and it was definitely worth it. It was such an amazing day. Ken, our guide, was knowledgeable and made our day special. The elephants are well taken care or and it was nice to see them so happy! This tour made our whole trip. I would recommend to anyone!! Exceptional 5 star experience!

Highly recommended. Elephants walking freely and calmly. Totally safe to get close to them, bathe them and feed them. Lanna is sometimes naughty, which is super funny and cute. The guide was friendly and helpful. One can learn a bit about elephants, their habits and character. Very small group (there were only 4 of us) which makes this experience truly personal and unique.

by far one of the most special experiences in the Chiang Mai area. arrangement was in tip-top order. transport well arranged and also on site with no questions. learning to communicate with the elephants, fed and made a snack, given a mud bath and washed in the water. all this within five hours but without rushing.
