Uncover the secrets of Thailand's famed Golden Triangle on this day trip from Chiang Mai. Travel aboard an air conditioned van from a centrally-located meeting point. Visit the Mae Kachan hot springs and the White Temple.  Explore the Mekong river on a longtail boat and enjoy a tasty lunch. Enjoy a pickup in central Chiang Mai, depart for Chiang Rai, stopping for a short break at Mae Kachan hot springs. Visit Wat Rong Khun, the White Temple, before continuing to the Golden Triangle area. Go to Wat Phra That Chedi Luang (limited access). See the Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar borders from the Golden Triangle viewpoint. Stop for lunch before spending time at House of Opium. Enjoy a long-tail boat trip on the mighty Mekong River. On the way back to Chiang Mai, take a break to stretch your legs in Mae Suay or Wiang Pa Pao district and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. The estimated arrival time in Chiang Mai city is 8:30 PM.

Despite the long journey, the journey was very comfortable. There was always chilled water available. Our guide showed and explained a lot during the trip. The white temple was breathtakingly beautiful and definitely worth a visit, unfortunately there was very little time there. We had imagined the visit to the golden triangle to be a little more spectacular.

I must say I was fully satisfied with this tour. The guide Pee gave us a lot of interesting information on the places visited and on Thailand, the driver was also very professional, comfortable minibus with supplies of fresh water for the entire journey, excellent lunch and the coffee chosen on the way back was very pleasant. Wonderful day trip! We were picked up from the hotel on time, the breakfast box was already waiting in the minivan. After an hour's drive we took a short break and then completed a 1.5 hour drive to Chiang Rai. There we visited the White Temple (ticket included). This one is exceptionally beautiful! We also drove to a temple ruin, briefly visited it and then drove to the restaurant, where we were served a few Thai dishes. From there we went on the Mekong River Boat Tour which lasted 15-20 minutes. Quickly cross the street to the Opium Museum, very interesting! From here it's a 1 hour drive back to the hotel, a coffee break in a fancy coffee shop and then a 2 hour drive until we arrive back in Chisng Mai. The guide (Ekk) was very friendly, funny and helpful. The driver drove us very safely and promptly. Recommended, we were very satisfied! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
