Full description
Enjoy a day visiting Chiang Mai's ancient temples and a handicraft center to see craftsmen at work. The first stop is the 14th-century Wat Chediluang, in the heart of old city. Continue to Wat Phra Sing, the city's most venerated temple. Its smaller worship hall is a fine example of Lanna architecture. Afterwards, visit Wat Chiang Man, the first temple in Chiang Mai built by King Mangrai. Enjoy authentic Thai food for lunch before visiting the Doi Suthep Temple, perched on a mountaintop at 3,520 feet above sea level. Head to the Sankampaeng handicraft center to see silk weaving and to visit silverware, lacquerware, ceramics and jewelry factories.

I had an amazing tour guide. Her name is Mona, very friendly and knowledgeable. I had a chance to visit 3 different temples and Handcrafted specialty, learning how silk is spun and weave, accessories and RTW, paper making process, umbrellas hand made, painting also had Thai lunch with a beautiful atmosphere and the food was delicious.

I learned so much about each temple history and the history of Thailand through my guide, Sid. Both Sid and Pon were so kind & accommodating! Sid let me partake in the praying and offering at each temple and explained all the etiquette and customs. At the end of the tour they even made a stop (at my personal request) at Waroros Market so I can pick up some durian chips to bring home. I recommend anyone who’s looking to see some of Chiang Mai’s temples to take this tour.

Me and my girlfriend had an amazing day. We learnt so much about Buddhism and the temples. Our tour guide Jackie used to be a monk for seven years so is full of knowledge and wisdom. Jackie took us for some beautiful food and even recommended a dish for us which is now my girlfriends favourite Thai dish. Jackie’s English is perfect and he is very funny and great to be around. His driver Mr Wan was also great and they both really looked after us. Would fully recommend this tour and if we ever come back to Chiang Mai we would definitely tour with Jackie.
