From Chiang Mai: Kerchor Eco Elephant Park Tour

This venue isn’t as ethical as ENP (elephant nature park) and allows WAY too many tourists to surround and harass the poor elephants. Social media has also rotted some people’s brains who should be horrified and embarrassed of the inappropriate ways they dress up for attention in the weirdest of places. Only 6 years ago (the last time I visited Thailand) people had normal brains and wore summer-camp type attire to volunteer at these elephant sanctuaries. Why would you dress any other way? You’re about to make messy elephant food, hike in a humid jungle in the mud, and jump into a river to help bath elephants. Yet here we are and now we see clown women showing up to these kinds of venues with their hair and makeup professionally done, butt cheeks completely exposed in tiny bikinis (despite the fact none of these bimbos even got into the water), sheer gowns, and dripping in gold even though the venue tells you NOT to wear jewelry around the elephants. Venue shouldn’t allow them inside.

The experience was incredible. We really liked that they took their time to explain how to interact with the animals, what to do and what not do, and the story of these elephants of the Karen tribe. Bathing with them was particularly fun, I never felt scared and the animals seemed to be very happy and trusting their caregivers. P'E was an excellent tour guide, fun but serious when needed!

The tour was a fantastic afternoon with ethical practices and knowledgeable guides. You can tell that the elephants are well looked after and pick-up was easy and stress-free. if you suffer from motion sickness you will want to bring medication for that. everything you need is there or can be bought for reasonable amounts and you walk away with a souvenir included in your total.
