We had a truly wonderful trip — our guide was a real source of knowledge and effortlessly switched between languages as he answered questions and explained the history and sights to us all. Our driver Mourad, meanwhile, was endlessly kind and patient, and went out of his way to help us at the end of our excursion. The trip itself was varied and extremely interesting (even for those of us who hadn’t watched Star Wars!), and offered a real insight into the history and culture of these parts of southern Tunisia. The visit to the Berber village with a local guide was the real highlight, as he showed us his home and the beautiful area, while talking through how life has changed over the years. I’ve been on excursions in many countries and this was without doubt one of the most memorable. Definitely recommend — and a massive thank you again to our guide and driver!
Our driver and guide picked us up on time. Our guide spoke very good English and provided a detailed insight into the history of the area and the lifestyle for the locals. We had some amazing photo opportunities of the Roman causeway, salt lake, old granary buildings that were used for Star Wars filming locations, and unique berber villages. The tour included a meal which was very filling. I recommend taking change for tips and some money for drinks. Thank you for this memorable experience.
Our guide is very knowledgeable and he gives us a lot of information. It’s a bit awkward because most people are French speakers and I have no clue about French but our guide will also explain for me in English. The trip is well designed, they arranged visit villages, star wars set and dessert and oasis, so basically you can see everything in this tour. The attractions are okay, people are extremely friendly here so the experience is great.
I MA a massive star wars fan so I really enjoyed it but my mum isn't. It didn't affect her enjoying the day as well. Very well rounded
