Full description

Dujiangyan is an ancient Chinese irrigation marvel from 256 BC, preventing floods and irrigating the Chengdu plain for over 2000 years. A UNESCO site, it showcases early engineering ingenuity by dividing the Min River for flood control and agriculture, still in use today. Concise itinerary : 7:30 AM - From your hotel to the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base. 8:00 AM - Guided tour of the Panda Base to see the adorable pandas up close. 12:30 PM - Enjoy lunch (self-arranged). 2:30 PM - Travel to the Dujiangyan Irrigation System to marvel at this ancient engineering feat. 5:00 PM - Visit to the thousand-year-old Guanxian Ancient City , indulging in local snacks. 6:30 PM - Back to Chengdu. 8:30 PM - Arrive back in Chengdu and return to your hotel.

This was an absolute highlight of our trip to China and probably a once in a lifetime opportunity for us. The ticket booking process couldn’t have been easier and we greatly appreciate the clear communication and detail when booking our tour. Do yourself a favour and go as early as possible because it got very very busy by 10am and this is the off season. 10/10 would recommend to everyone.
